“ Located near SMU, People’s Last Stand is a nice chic bar, with an open patio and ample seating space. I actually visit PLS for my first “cocktail making class” for a fun day out with my mom & sister. Talk about good time! We laughed, we drank, and we made 2 dig natural cocktails from scratch (a vodka martini and a blue raspberry margarita). Oh, and I can’t forget the complimentary champagne we received (by the way, it was the best champagne I’ve had - sweet and crisp with and apple undertone). The class was excellent, about 2hrs in total, we had the entire bar to ourselves. The instructors were great, funny and personable. The music was well curated and the bar itself was comfy and roomy. The class was 50/person. I’d definitely do it all over again. ”
“ We could rave about this place! Not only is the venue clean, inviting, and casual but the drinks and service are outstanding, too. We hosted a book club meeting here for about 35 people and not only were they willing to work with us to rearrange seating, but they also provided us access to their sound system which made it so easy to discuss our book. The drinks were phenomenal and priced at some of the best in the city. Both bartenders were accommodating and welcoming. Thank you for having us at your establishment this month. 10/10 would recommend and would be back for a drink or a cocktail-making class! ”
